Clearer pricing while we're still onboarding pros in your area: when an estimate isn't yet based on a local pro's rate, we now say so.

Fixes hiring a pro directly from Browse: the card step now opens, accepts your card, and creates your booking. Approving a pro's price on a posted job uses the same step and is fixed too.

Hiring a pro directly from Browse now works: the card sheet opens, accepts your card, and your booking is created. If a pro doesn't answer within 2 hours you can now open the job to other pros instead of losing it.

A redesigned home screen: a new banner, clearer shortcuts to posting a job, AI diagnosis, instant quotes and browsing pros, and your location at the top.

A refreshed home screen with quick access to posting a job, AI diagnosis, instant quotes and browsing pros. Your requests now have their own tab, and your profile moved to the avatar at the top. Cleaner launch screen, and the back button now returns you to Home instead of closing the app.

You can now open any pro who applied and see exactly what they'd charge — labour, materials and the service fee, broken down. Licence and insurance badges show on every pro who has them.

You can now require a licensed & insured pro when you post a job, and see each pro's credentials while you choose. Job budgets show the range of rates that could take the work, and your invoices name the pro who did it.

Hiring a pro now includes payment, so a job is confirmed the moment you hire. Pros can see the jobs they have applied to, and their earnings. The job timer can be paused and resumed, and the customer sees it. Licence and insurance are now shown as separate verified badges. Distances are shown in miles.

• Pay for a booking right in the app • Try AI diagnosis without an account — sign in only to post • Confirm completed work, attach a receipt, then rate and tip • Materials are now a separate pass-through line your pro confirms • Urgent jobs show the exact rush fee up front • Browse pros within 60 miles, nearest first • Your phone number stays private on calls • Disputes section, profile photo, notification badge • Fixes: the keyboard no longer covers Post a Job fields; NYC borough addresses are recognised

We've rebuilt Tarea from the ground up for a faster, smoother, more reliable experience — improved booking, better notifications, and a refreshed design. Note: you may need to sign in again after this update.
