Te Araroa Notes and Maps downloads the official Trail Notes, Maps and Alerts to your phone so you have complete access even when out of Internet range. A simple user-controlled update process keeps you up-to-date with Note and Alert changes on the website. Includes full southbound notes. The map display uses gps location to mark your current position on the trail.

New in version 5.1. Tap the Tracks button at the bottom of a Trail Notes page to show a scrolling list of the individual tracks that make up this section, with an indication of the track type, Track data is downloaded during Check for Updates process

New in version 5.0. From the home page a single tap on the orange arrow location icon switches display to the map for your current location. Notes and maps for your location need to be downloaded to support this feature.
All map pages show your current latitude, longitude, track name, map number and nearest kilometre point.
Tap the map name at the bottom of the screen to re-centre the display on your current location.
Trail Status Alert locations are marked directly on maps.
The app has been completely rewritten for version 5 to provide simpler connections between notes, maps and alerts and improve the download and update processes
