Won’t open

After a few days the app stopped opening. Just says “downloading changes to your account settings “ then closes or displays “check your internet connection “ which is fine with all my other apps. In the few times it would open I couldn’t get it to do what the App Store displayed it would. It was basic and disappointing especially since it’s Tetra. I’ve been trusting that brand name for years with their aquarium equipment & fish advice.

Inflexible app

While trying to include everything, they managed to separate it out WAY to much! For instance, if you have Glofish....you can’t put Neon Tetras or Cory or Catfish in with them in this app. And if you have you aquarium set to “tropical”...you can’t have GloFish in it. So basically if you have a community aquarium, you won’t actually be able to enter your community into the app! Easy resolution, allow the user to hand enter fish to search the complete list...don’t bother trying to name a bunch of aquariums of...is it fresh water or salt? Is it planted or unplanted? You don’t need all the separation that is clogging up the ability to enter a simple community tank. And while I understand that this app is to try to encourage you to buy these products, there should be an option for manual entry of non-tetra products...just a simple “other” would suffice.

Nice app, needs some improvements *updated*

For a beginner this app is pretty decent. I do agree with some reviewers that it shouldn’t “lock down” on types of fish (tropical, goldfish, Cichlid, glofish, Betta, marine and reef) if there should be separation then just do freshwater and saltwater and have that split instead. Also the other nice thing is the scanning of the test strips, however my nitrite levels always come back as “caution” even though according to the color chart on the bottle it’s safe. And tracking of the supplies should be a little better like counting how much of said “tetra” product you have left would be beneficial. I have been using it to track space in my tank and the testing of the water and so far I like it.

As of 4 May this app no longer works on my iPhone XS Max.
