Fun to play but tons of quirks
I only gave it 2 stars because it is fun to play and addicting. The downsides: If you choose a pair of cards that is the same percentage (say 14%) as another pair with 14%, 99% of the time it will give you an X for being wrong which makes no sense and needs fixed. My other gripe is that there could be a hand with a pair of 7s, a hand with 2 off number spades and then say a King and queen. The 1st 3 cards are 4 spade, 6 spade and king of hearts...If you choose your king & queen hand for the pair, it will give you a strike & say that the 2 off number spades was the correct hand. How and why is this happening???
This doesn't work in iOS 11.
Great potential; needs work
Potentially fantastic learning tool, but needs a couple improvements: 1) a "press to continue" button is needed after each hand, to give the user time to digest the result of the hand, and 2) there needs to be some way of understanding where the percentages are coming from.
Suggestion: after each hand, the user could have the ability to review each each stage of the hand and, by clicking on a particular player's cards, see what the chances are for those cards producing each kind of finishing hand (straight, flush, etc). Then beginners could learn more and experts could verify the relative percentages.
Barring that, one shouldn't trust this program's valuation of hands too much, although it's still useful for learning to speed up one's card recognition.
