Text Speaker 4+

There are lots of different voices, I think it is worth the 2.99. I use it for school, and to hear the funny voices (some of them do sound relatively natural though—which is good!). You cannot change the size of the window, which is kind of annoying.

Sadly, it does not read PDFs but worse than that...WAY worse...is that it restarts the document every time you pause, or make a change, or make any kind of adjustment. After listening to the content of a PDF (that I had to copy and paste into the text area), I listened for about 10 minutes and then made the mistake of increasing the reading speed. It went back to the beginning of the doc and started again. If this app were a tangible object, I would have thrown it against the wall. What a waste of 3 bucks!

I have difficulty reading and retaining, so I have tried multiple text-to-speech programs, apps, sites, etc., but this one takes the cake, for me. There are a ton of voices to choose from (I find that Fiona/premium keeps my mind engaged), it is super easy to use, and it’s reliable. I cannot ask for more than that.
