Text Story Maker - ChatTales 4+

Pretty good, one suggestion.

I was disappointed when I found out that I had to pay a costly amount to be able to write stories freely, but I eventually decided to go ahead and pay for accessibility to all of the app's features. I haven’t had any problems so far, and the prompts are a fun addition. The only problem—which is more of an aesthetic issue than anything else—is that when I save my stories as a video, the texts don’t appear as an actual text conversation normally would. Like, the transition between text messages isn’t as smooth as I would like. It’s like the text messages abruptly pop up rather than the quick slide transition you would typically see in realistic text conversations. Considering that I’m now paying for the full version of this app, I would like to see this minor issue fixed. I want my videos to look like a realistic text conversation, and the transition between text messages isn’t the best I’ve seen compared to other text story apps. But besides that, this app is pretty good if you don’t mind paying.

Great text story app…some suggestions to improve ease of use

This app is great for creating realistic looking messaging projects. I think it mimics the iPhone style of messaging best of any text story app and I’m glad it exists. However, I think the message duration feature could be improved. It’s difficult to adjust via slider and there aren’t many timing options (only 1s-5s). The slider feature often glitches and causes the app to crash. I also wish there was a way to adjust the duration of multiple messages at a time, instead of one by one. It can take some experimentation to find the best duration timing wise for the read of a message so any way that would make it easier to change and test out durations would make the app a lot easier to use.

A second suggestion would be to add a way to reorder messages if you want to rearrange them. Currently you have to add them in order and there’s no way to go back in and add a message somewhere earlier in the story (you would have to delete everything).

Overall, a great app stylistically!

We will certainly improve the duration controls.

As for re-ordering messages, you can re-order them by pressing and holding near the side of a message. Then simply drag and drop it where ever you like :)

great app but not affordable

this app is exactly what i need, it’s minimal and looks like the apple design with its own quirks and it’s amazing. the only complaint which draws me from using this app is the fact that the premium is hella overpriced. i should not have to pay $5 a month for the ability to add multiple people and photos, maybe allowing people to buy each individual expansion for a one time fee such as pictures OR more contacts would be a great idea!! i just can’t see myself using the app it i can’t resemble the idea of a groupchat sending funny memes without having to spend $40 yearly (cause that’s the better value)
