Made for older people

As a socially awkward millennial looking for tips on how to respond to people other than “yeah” “cool” and “that’s good” this doesn’t help at all, it overly mentions on I don’t know anyone here let’s go talk to people or talking about your kids or I need to socialize but I don’t know anyone here, like if you want to be helpful throw in witty anecdotes or trivia or mentions on what you’ve been doing with your summer and definitely throw in responses that uplift the conversation not lead it to the nearest exit, just tossing in my 2 cents for improvement.
