The Brainstormer has three spinning wheels featuring plot/conflict, theme/setting and subject/location. By manipulating the wheels -- or do a random spin -- you generate combinations that make fantastic creative prompts for writing, sketching or any creative activity. Edit the wheels: tweak the built in lists or create entirely new scenarios from scratch.
More Wheels! The Character Builder wheel combines of archetypes attributes and backgrounds, and the World Builder combines theme, mood and place to create one-of-a-kind settings. NEW! Sci-Fi Brainstormer generates ideas with a science fiction flavor.

Fun writing/character/world prompts
I really like the interface on this app, and the fact that I can create custom brainstorming sets based on existing ones (or from scratch). Very well thought-out. My only complaint is this:
If i want to randomly create 20 characters with the Character Builder, in order to save each one, I have to either Tweet, post on Facebook, or email every combination. I would very much prefer to add the randomized combos to a list that I can email all at once (or even just add to the paste buffer). As it is, I have to use this in combination with a computer, or a pen and paper to collect a set of character (or other type) prompts. I'm certainly not going to bombard my twitter followers with the output of this app twenty times in a row.
Please consider making it possible to accumulate a list of brainstormed combinations.
I love it, but it could use some small tweaks
It works great for what I want it for, but it’s VERY noisy. I have to turn my notification sounds all the way down, which is a problem, rather than having a simple switch to turn off the sounds. I’d also love if it could save combos you like to the app instead of having to share them.
really fun, and very useful
I love this! I've been goofing around with it, and the surprising combinations are really fun to think about!
Some have made me laugh with delight, some brought serious thoughts and memories to mind, others suggested quirky, funny ideas.
I'll be relying on this when November rolls around, and National Novel Writing Month comes back to the top of the calendar!
