The free Connecticut Public App allows you to enjoy News and Talk from Connecticut Public Radio (WNPR) and NPR and your favorite programs from Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) and PBS on the go, anytime, anywhere. Listen to our live radio stream and on-demand podcasts from Where We Live, The Colin McEnroe Show, The Wheelhouse, NEXT and The Food Schmooze. Check our TV schedules and set reminders to watch. Stream your favorite PBS shows using our DVR-like controls. Kids can stream Arthur, Daniel Tiger, Peg + Cat, Sesame Street and more or watch LIVE PBS Kids 24/7 and play fun, free educational games right in the app. Connecticut Public Members can access their CPTV Passport account, allowing you to watch special curated content. You can even set an alarm to wake up to Morning Edition.

Ratings and Reviews
Informative and easy to use
I use CT Public as my go to source for local Connecticut news. The app has a live stream as well as links to past shows and news. Definitely worth it to get news about Connecticut.
Glitchy
I love CT public radio and am an avid listener. I love to listen during my commute. I recently switched to using the app while driving so I can also use gps on my phone at the same time. I frequently have difficulty starting the broadcast using the app. It will freeze, hang and take multiple attempts with force closing to get it started. It will also just quit at times. All this leaves me messing around with my phone far more than I should be while driving.
It’s MEH
It’s clunky and takes a while to load. When I click listen, I just want to listen to a live stream. I don’t want to have a choice of all the other shows that are available.
At that point, I get frustrated and move on. I have found myself listening to Connecticut Public Radio and public radio in general far less since the institution of this app. Now I just listen in my car and I’m not not in my car all that much.
