The Daily Doll is a cozy and creative place which calls for its readers to get real, get liberated and get the life they have always wanted. Most importantly, though, it is a space of encouragement to invest in becoming the most confident and thriving version of oneself, internally and externally.
The idea for it was born out of a moment of me, its creator, feeling especially annoyed while standing in line at the grocery store one unsuspecting afternoon. I observed a magazine headline which appeared to be little more than an attempt to prey on the insecurities of others, particularly women. I thought about how so often phony "expert opinions", misleading sales pitches, and the promotion of a culture of comparison and competition are shoved down the throats of women everywhere we turn. As a writer with a journalism degree, as well as seven years of experience within the beauty industry, I understood that complaining about it would solve nothing. Rather, I decided to create its opposite.
The Daily Doll is part "happy distraction", part useful advice & information, part "friend you have always needed but have never had" and sometimes a revealing memoir, but, most of all, it is an invitation for the reader to dive into self-care, self-exploration, and total, uninhibited celebration. There are also occasional splashes of "tough love" and "feather-ruffling", but not without being served on a platter of good intentions.
I hope every word, suggestion and idea presented to you informs you, enlightens you, entertains you, humors you, comforts you, smacks you with the truth, but most of all celebrates you.
Welcome to The Daily Doll!

What a surprise!
I was not expecting to fall in love with this when my friend told me about it! Now this feels like a friend I can count on for answers and insight when I need it. There are beauty tips and relationship tips. All kinds of things. The design is super cute and the articles are really entertaining. Some of them make me cry sometimes. I'm definitely a fan.
