Ratings and ReviewsSee All
Whether you're a casual listener or a lifelong fan, The Doors' official app will keep you captivated for hours with unbelievable polish and an array of fascinating content. This app isn't only stunning and informational—it's comprehensive. You can flip through a virtual vinyl collection or photo galleries, read song lyrics, enjoy a graphic novel based on "the Miami Incident," and more. We're delighted to see and hear The Doors' rich and compelling history unfold in an app that showcases it with so much affection and care.
The doors shaped my teen years. I really was excited about this app but unfortunately I can't recommend it.
Poor UI design, poor UX design turn the experience from a fun thing it should be to a poor thing that it is.
There is tons of information but its not fun to access it. Not a lot of thinking went into this product and its too bad.
Almost But Not Quite: Flawed, Sloppy and Unprofessional
This is almost pretty good. It seems to have some depth and a lot of information. Where it drops the ball is its awkward, horizontal only, layout (what's with all the stacked menu boxes/buttons at the bottom of the page… the more I try to use this app the harder it is to get to what I want to see). Also, the photo captions are very inefficient in their layout and cover a reasonable portion of each, very low resolution pic (they're zoomable but they look like garbage). The videos won't go full screen without freezing the app. There are also a few mistakes in accuracy that I noticed just from scanning through the app. The "discography" doesn't tell you anything about the albums, videos and books but opens The Doors website instead without warning. The map is kinda cool though.
