Ratings and Reviews
Perfect if you're stationed in Germany
This app is awesome! It has an Esso station finder so you won't be caught while you're out sightseeing and with both military and local german business phone directory and maps, you can find a restaurant while you're exploring a local town.
Annoying, requires IOS 4.2
Poor design software requirement of IOS 4.2 just for a text lookup app, when version 4.0/4.1 should suffice, higher requirement locks out user.
Annoying custom "location services disabled" popup EVERY time you check the details of an item, the default one-time notice should suffice.
Settings fail to disable the autoroute (especially based on system settins) or choose a default search area, eg Stuttgart Areas, instead it defaults to all areas all the time. Back button not intuitive. Missing a few area items.
No ESSO gas station search, finds ktown medical clinic. Item text is grey on dark grey background instead of easy to read vold white as in screenshot.
One star that it doesnt require inet and the interface is generally good.
Great idea... Bad app!!
Stationed here in the KMC area. I have an iPod 4G and run iOS 5.1. Downloaded the app and all I got was the electronic version of the guide's front page. Pretty picture, but it didn't go beyond that point and appeared stuck. Restarted the iPod, tried to open it two additional times and got the same results.
My question to the folks who designed/programmed this app would be the following... Who is doing the beta testing before putting the app out on Apple's app store? Pathetic oversight job!
If you all can't get an app like this to work with the people who designed it, find people who can make/ensure it can. Otherwise, stick with the hardcopy version. At least that product isn't garbage like the app is.
Anyone thinking about downloading this app, dont! You are wasting time that you won't get back. Stick with the hardcopy and pick up additional FREE copies to put in your vehicle(s) when you travel around Germany. They certainly won't get stuck when you open it past the pretty front page.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
