Great potential as a "translator" for the hearing and users of ASL
The developer has stated that this is a fun, novelty app. But I think he's missing an opportunity to make this a very functional "translator" between those of us in the hearing community and the millions of hearing-impaired who rely on sign language (ASL) to communicate.
My wife is late-deafened, and speaks normally, but we deal with people all the time who rely on ASL. It's a VERY hard language to learn if you don't use it every day, and I'd love a relatively easy way to express myself in their language. Having ASL finger signs is a great start, but imagine if you could add a library of ASL phrases and expressions to this app's 3D hand engine. Instantly a novelty app turns into much, much more.
I await further development to this very cool app -- at a minimum, a way to share and exchange the signs individually program would be an invaluable resource.
Helps me draw hands in any position!
Loved this app, bought it ($0.99 at the time) a while ago and now it requires 4.0 update. Bleh never buying apps from this company again.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
