The Guest - Photo Sharing 4+

We had a great experience with the Veri app. Our 3-day event captured our rehearsal dinner, wedding and day-after brunch. We had a small wedding - only about 50 people, and not everyone used the app. Still, we ended up with over 500 photos! The pics are a great way to remember the event, and to see what your guests were experiencing (since you can’t possibly be everywhere at once during your wedding)! It’s also nice to see these pics so quickly after the wedding, since we won’t get our professional photos for weeks! The other guests who used the app loved having access to everyone else’s photos. I loved how the app puts all of the photos in chronological order. The only downsides of using this app were 1) some of the older guests needed help to download it, but this is probably to be expected for people unfamiliar with new technology, and 2) sometimes people forgot to turn off auto-sharing and accidentally shared photos too early (ie the bride getting ready). One guest was hesitant to download the app before the wedding because she didn’t want her photos to be auto-shared, even though I assured her that auto-sharing could be turned off. She decided to download the app after the event was over, and manually upload the photos that she wanted to share; this worked well for her and we still got to see her pics, so this is a nice option too. Overall we were very happy with this app and think it’s definitely worth the money!

My daughter used this for her wedding and ended up with well over 1000 photos to choose from. It really only takes a couple of minutes for someone to set up on their phone and then as long as they choose the auto load option they don’t have to do anything else. Since you can set everything up beforehand I personally felt it was much easier than the usual upload and hashtag mess on social media you have to do at weddings. However, we were able to easily show some of the older less tech savvy family members how to install the app and upload their photos the next day at brunch. They loved being able to view all their photos among the ones taken by other guests. My daughter especially loved that the photos were shown in a timeline format so she was able to see what her groom and others were doing while she was in the bridal suite and it makes it a very nice way to see how the entire day progressed from the preparations to the ceremony, reception and then the after party. She was so happy with the app that she used it again during her honeymoon. She had used a honeymoon fund so friends and family were able to easily see photos of the couple enjoying excursions that had been purchased as wedding gifts. I will definitely be using this app for other events, parties, family vacations, etc!

I originally downloaded the app because I liked the idea of disposable cameras at the reception but wasn’t a fan of the price of said disposable cameras. We live in a world immersed in technology so I thought using this app would be a much better, and affordable, option. It turned out really nice because I also used the app for my 3 bridal showers and it was a huge success at each shower and the reception.

However, little did I know that this app would end up saving out wedding. I hired a photographer, who had good reviews, to do both the engagement pictures and wedding day pictures. Our engagement pictures were spectacular so I felt confident that our wedding pictures would be the same way. I was devastatingly wrong. About 85% of our pictures are horrific, nothing worth display or bragging about. To say my heart was broken is an understatement.

Insert The Guest app (and awesome iPhone cameras)! Some of our wedding guest took beautiful pictures, ones worthy of displaying in our home. Had I not offered this to our guests, we would be left with about 15 pictures to show our family and friends.
