Fun app retelling of one of my favorite short stories with a few bugs
The app was a fun retelling of one of my favorite short stories, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The music was fantastic and the graphics were fun and engaging.
The app did have a few bugs and wasn’t formatted correctly on my iPhone 12 Pro. Despite having some trouble navigating to new pages, I overall really enjoyed the app and recommend it to anyone that’s a fan of the story.
Wonderful to read on Halloween!
A Tasteful Performance of the tale of SleepyHollow. True this book features wonderful art and engaging music. But the “devil is in the details”, and this iClassic book brings it all together that I was compelled to read it all the way through on Halloween night...and it was not my Intention to do so! A lot of the music is period music to the time, and and I particularly enjoyed the songs at the party. And the transition of the farm land into candy land. The use of the phone’s flash when lightning strikes. The people at iClassics have given the Legend of Sleepy Hollow the treatment it deserves. Of course if you’ve seen the Disney version from the 50’s it’s hard not to picture the scenes, but this being the original text (or so it seems), what better way to actually read the story than with all of the atmosphere and attention getters built in to bring this book to life!
Suspicious
These books are entertaining and well done, but unfortunately I have to give them a low rating due to the apps suspicious behavior. I have purchased all of the iclassics and found that they all immediately default to the 'on' position in cellular data and immediately use nearly a megabyte of data. Why a book would need to use any data at all is curious and that they use that much data is both odd and suspicious. I wrote to the company at the email posted on their website but received no response. I cannot recommend purchasing these books unless they stop this practice of sending whatever data they're gathering and using customers cellular data without permission.
