The remote start stopped working

The app doesn’t even give me the option to remote start anymore.

Update: the app developers responded in a timely manner. Now my remote start is working and I’m able to start my car while my coffee brews.

I know that sounded like a typical response but I swear I’m not lying. I always loved Lincoln cars. Since I was a kid in New York City in the early 2000’s; watching the Lincoln executive models being used at taxis. I’m not sure if it was the name Lincoln itself that sounded powerful, historical, different, meaningful. Maybe it was the fact it’s one of the few American cars still being made. But to be honest at 27 I finally know what it is. It’s The innovation, the fresh designs, sleek look. And I as a libra of the zodiac love everything that brings me peace and harmony and my Lincoln MKZ gives me that and more when I’m able to change the ambient lighting and ac cool my seats during the summer. The warming steering wheel stole my heart this past March. Anyways thank you for being a trusted brand name. You have my loyalty and most importantly my wallet.

Called Lincoln concierge to ask why my app doesn’t work and I was told my car needs a firmware update. So now I have to schedule an appointment to get this done and also I was told that “oh your running the 1.5 version of the app we are launching a new app 1.6 TOMORROW and you need to delete your current app and download the new one.” I have checked every day since I have called and no new app and I have a scheduled appointment for Monday at the dealership. What good is a firmware update if the app is crap and doesn’t work!
I was given the run around about iPhone compatibility! The app worked fine when bought my car. ITS ALOMST 2018 Lincoln get it together. Very frustrated!

I mean, it’s not a bad app at all if I actually got to do what it said. I got my car from a honda dealership, there aren’t any Lincoln dealerships near me. I just got this app 5 months after having my 2015 MKZ. I’ve been trying to “activate my vehicle” and it worked the first time however I didn’t know I had to be in my car with the car on for it to “activate” everything. So I went down to my car turned it on and waited, nothing popped up so i pressed the button to activate it again and it said it was unable to because another activation in progress (I’m guessing from the first time I tried) so I waited for an hour, tried again, same message. I called and they told me it was because my embedded modem was out of date. However if that was the case wouldn’t the dealership have told me that? They told me about all the other recalls or “fixes” were on file for my car, AND it worked the first time I just wasn’t in my car??? Really upset I can’t properly use the app..tried everything, deleting and re downloading, restarting the car, turning my phone on and off, creating a new account, nothing worked. Pretty upset.
