Providence e journal easy read

Have had my issues with projo but gave them one more try. Found the digital issue is my go to with easy navigation and on all my devices.
The digital version price was attractive and sealed the deal

Latest version of this app is a disaster

Unfortunately there is no way to select zero stars. I thought the previous version was a little clunky but useable. This latest version that I was required to download is horrible. Zooming and fit to screen of pages is not friendly and inconsistent. Browsing form page to page sometimes skips pages and makes them unreadable. Like the Sunday comics? Good luck in reading all pages.

Maybe some who actually reads a paper should be the one who designs and quality assurance of the app that gets published to the readership. The Providence Journal has destroyed the print version and now they are on their way to wrecking the digital also.

Gannet should be ashamed in what they have delivered.

Reliable local news

I just got this app. I was using the New York Times but I don’t live in New York and I find most of their articles a bit too high brow for me to be honest. The Projo is very comprehensible and I honestly don’t see why I need to know what’s going on in Botswana or wherever which I’m sure the NYT covers. Projo seems to be mostly local news (judging from my usage of it thus far) which is basically all I care about at this point in my life. So... as they say, “It works for me.”
