Screen resolution does not fit iPhoneX

I have an iPhoneX and it appears that the scene does not fit entirely in the iPhone X display. The bottom of the game's scene is below (outside) the display. I found out totally by chance, as I got stuck in the game and had to use the hints, and one hint directed me to locate a hole in the ground at the bottom part of the screen..... Which was clearly, according to the hints drawings, outside (below bottom edge) of the display. If the developer contacts me I can send a screen-shot. Needless to say, I cannot move forward in the game because I cannot visit that hole in the ground... And that's about it. This wraps up my experience with the game. Too bad. Nevertheless, the 2 stars are for the effort, the nice artwork and good atmosphere of the game Updated : Thank you for contacting me. I've sent screen shots of the actual display in iPhone X, together with the clue that directs to an un-reachable hole in the ground.

Updated:
Thanks for clarifying the hint with "the hole in the ground". Now I see I was focusing on the wrong thing. I also did not manage to understand that the map (top view) can move and I kept tapping it instead of dragging sideways... It would be nice if you drew small arrows that show it can move...

Thank you for the useful response. I'm continuing with the game... :-)

Changed the rating to 4 stars

Cheers

The Neverhood Nostalgia

If you’re like me, you grew up playing The Neverhood over and over again. This game brings back all the magic and whimsy that I first felt all those years ago. Absolutely fantastic visuals and pretty intuitive controls. I do think a quick run through on how to switch between characters could have been helpful, but I picked it up within a minute or two.

Overall love the nostalgia I feel while playing the game. Excited to see if the developer will continue to create claymation style games or other Doug TenNapel inspired game styles.

Nicely crafted world

(Updated) I’m enjoying the exploration and adventure. The claymation is really well done. The puzzles are challenging but usually can be worked out. I did stumble on one puzzle that wasn’t quite as obvious but reaching out to the developer on Facebook Messenger gave me the guidance I needed. They are very responsive and obviously eager to get players engaged with their work. I’m sure a lot went into making this game and it is a good investment to play through. I finished Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 is being worked on, hopefully. Be patient with the game (there is some backtracking and some hit areas are not as obvious). You will be rewarded as the story unfolds. More to come, I hope.

Developer Response ,

Hello! Thanks in advance for your message. AppUnwrapper features an older version of our game in their recordings. We've enhanced gameplay since their coverage on YouTube. If you find yourself stuck, utilize hints available in the backpack inventory. Feel free to reach out via email for assistance. Thank you!
