Ratings and Reviews
Not great, but a reminder of the game
You really can’t complain since it’s free. It’s worth a try. To get past the black screen you gotta jump out of the app one or two times. Finally the 30 second ad plays. Then hit the start button in the middle of the screen. The controls are pretty terrible and the graphics aren’t like the real game. But it is a reminder. Keep looking for this game, it’s gotta turn up at some point.
Looks great, but…
*Added an extra star for developer responsiveness! Thanks, Richard! It’s great to know someone out there is listening. *
The graphics are super retro and satisfying, which is awesome! But the gameplay is clunky at best. To move around the board, you must tap arrows, which are located at the bottom left of the screen. It’s awkward. Far more elegant and intuitive would be the ability to slide your finger in the direction you wish to move and shoot. I love where this game is headed, and I know it can and will be improved over time. But right now, it’s nearly impossible to play. Sorry. I really want to love it, but it’s mostly potential at this point and not a super substantive rendition of the game.
Black screen... That's it
For the most part - it just opens to a black screen after its done loading. I wanted to try this before I bought the .99 cent version. It was my favorite game in the 80's. What a bummer. The ONE TIME I could get it to load I got to play it. It looks the same but the seamless play is not there. I understand that they can't give us a dial to spin like the real game. You have to push your Left & Right individually and you can't move it fast enough to make it to the other side of the circle - would be way better if you could hold down the L/R arrows and it would keep moving instead of having to push it over and over again. To move. Doesn't feel the same. Good try tho. Extra star is for the fact you chose the best game to re-do.
