Maximize every moment and unlock your potential as an athlete with SYSTM: the most effective, comprehensive, and motivating training platform available for time-crunched cyclists and triathletes. This one app gives you everything you need to reach your goals, including a huge library of structured cycling workouts designed by elite sports scientists, strength training, yoga, and mental training. Plus, everything is integrated into easy-to-follow training plans for cycling and multisport. Harness the power of the SYSTM 4DP® platform to get unprecedented insight into your abilities and training tailored to your unique fitness profile.
SYSTM works with most Bluetooth-enabled trainers and fitness devices so you can train to personalized power, heart rate and cadence targets.
Unlike other training apps that just set power targets based on a simple percentage of your sustained power (FTP), SYSTM uses a comprehensive 4DP® fitness test to calculate your Rider Type, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and measure what you’re capable of across 4 critical performance metrics. The 4 metrics are Neuromuscular Power (sprint power), Anaerobic Capacity (1-minute power), Maximal Aerobic Power (5-minute power), and FTP (20-minute power). Using 4DP®, SYSTM then tailors the power targets in your workouts so you get the most out of the time you have to train. You’ll work at the exact intensity necessary to get stronger and faster, without wasting a single pedal stroke.
Stay motivated with a huge library of the most effective, immersive, video-based workouts available. Put yourself in the middle of the action with workouts from The Sufferfest and ProRide series, featuring officially-licensed footage from the biggest races on the calendar. Train alongside Wahoo athletes in the A Week With series, go On Location to ride the world's most iconic routes, or get inspired with the Inspiration series of cycling-focused documentaries paired to base / recovery sessions. You can even join your favorite Global Cycling Network presenters for a killer GCN Training session. Want to watch your own shows while getting seriously fast? Fire up one of the SYSTM NoVid sessions for a fully customizable training experience.
Use the SYSTM Training Plan Builder to configure your own easy-to-follow, comprehensive training plan for road, multisport, cyclocross, gravel, mountain biking, and eSports. Ratings and Reviews
You want to crush it? You want to go from zero to a real cyclist? You want to slay the asphalt and chew up the tires of your foes? You want to see your improvements and track your performance in 4DP? Throw out your FTP-based training model and use The Sufferfest app. Pair it with your smart trainer, load up a training plan, and JUST DO WHAT YOU’RE TOLD to get faster, stronger, better, smoother, and more flexible. This is the only app you need. Backed up by world class coaches, trash your Peloton cart and log on. Not only is the investment here a lot less expensive, this app is designed to make you a better cyclist. Period. Motivational videos, real time feedback, adaptive workouts, progress tracking, achievements, challenges, a great forum, and REAL WORLD CLASS COACHES at your fingertips. All backed by science, experience, and PROOF. I am a real user. A proud Sufferlandrian. I can never go back. I will be a Knight of Sufferlandria. New Year’s Day, 2022.
I started from scratch at 40 years old, a month ago and I haven’t looked back. I am already stronger, faster, and have better form.
Maybe you can become a Knight of Sufferlandria. IWBMATTKYT, If you know it, you know it. It’s not a workout, it’s a culture and a lifestyle.
Fantastic App/Training programs
Your wallet won’t ‘suffer’ as this is a well designed and motivating app to help you accomplish any goal. Versatile, easy to use, as challenging as you’d like with the best test I’ve used for power/FTP numbers. I trialed Zwift, TrainerRoad, Rouvy, Peloton and several free virtual cycling apps and found The Sufferfest to come out on top. The real UCI footage as well and Tours lead up breathtaking passes adds a new dynamic for keeping you motivated during the workout. You also have GCN indoor classes and no video option as well. Settings are completely customizable so you can see as much or as little data as you desire. Training plans are done by professionals and easy to follow. The mental toughness program was novel and has helped me tremendously, something I haven’t seen with any other app/program. The app has it all. Unless you’re dying for a videogame appearance I recommend Sufferfest for all your training/exercise needs. You can add to phone, iPad and even computer. Well done.
Unlikely to pay after the free trial ends
I have been using the regular Wahoo app for a year, adjusting resistance manually to do RPM and Trip rides from the Les Mills app. I just started the SYSTM free trial, as offered through Wahoo, and I am not impressed. I started with the Full Frontal 4DP test, as I imagine many people do. A full hour of race video, and it’s all white men?! Way to open the front door of the app with a "your kind not welcome here" message. Women and POC riders exist; if we aren’t on your radar for clips, are we on there for anything else? I was also taken aback by the lack of integration with the basic Wahoo app and controls. SYSTM seems to operate independently of Wahoo, despite the shared name, meaning you have to learn a whole new set of controls, and the ride history in one app isn’t connected to the other (you can’t even manually connect them through the authorized apps function on either side). I ignored the "don’t be in erg mode" warning in the FTP test because I wasn’t in erg mode (in Wahoo), but apparently SYSTM defaults to erg mode on its own, so I had to restart the dang test. Nor does SYSTM connect to the iPhone Health app. The FTP test was fine and I do intend to try a few more sessions, but I'm probably not a long-term convert.
Developer Response ,
Hi Leah - thanks for your honest feedback, we always appreciate hearing from our athletes. Many of our workouts feature footage from men's races, while others feature footage from women's races, but we can always do better when it comes to representing the diversity of talent out there. If you're willing to keep at it, I recommend 'Half the Road' as your next workout. To troubleshoot any trainer issues, write our CS team: https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
