EDUCATIONAL CONTENT AND CURRICULUM SPECIFICS

Challenge 1:
Helping students to understand reflections and rotations of two-dimensional shapes. Identifying line and rotational symmetries.

Challenge 2:
Learning about nets of three-dimensional objects. It is an excellent introduction for students to formulate the net of a shape.

Challenge 3:
Helping students to understand the 12- and 24-hour time systems and angles and rotation.

Challenge 4:
Learning to solve problems involving division including those that result in a remainder. Students must also construct an appropriate column graph.

Challenge 5:
Introducing dot plot graphs and the interpretation of data.

Challenge 6:
Learning how to represent outcomes of probability and chance. Students represent outcomes of experiments using fractions, decimals and percentages.

Challenge 7:
Learning division and multiplication involving one- and two- digit numbers, without the use of a calculator.

Challenge 8:
Understanding fractions and decimals and how to convert between them. It includes both Metric & Imperial systems.

Challenge 9:
Learning how to solve problems involving money and using a calculator. It includes the currencies of Australia, Canada, England and the U.S.A.

After completing the 9 challenges, students may then download our genius certificate from our website. Our aim is to build a student’s mathematical confidence, so they are more willing to try harder. We have found this vital in the early stages of learning mathematics, so students may then reach their full potential.
