Such a God-Send. I found my sons and brother barber on here after kissing tons of frogs. I have never been more happy. Even when I’m out of town, I use the app. It allows me to see the barbers skills and prices before I book. I feel at ease knowing who’s chair my son and little brother sitting in before I book. I can view their name and see their face so I can snoop around on social media to see what type of energy they will bring to our lives. It also lets me identify who they are so the kiddies don’t end up sitting on the wrong chair when we arrive. I also love the texting capabilities. I can notify my barber that I’m either in the lobby or running late. He’ll usually text me back or step out and grab us. The texting is immediate just like a traditional texting system from any phone carrier. I highly recommend this app to any single mothers with boys such as I. It’s easy to navigate and it’s easy to use. Absolutely love it!

The app is great and easily accessible. However, as a barber wanting to test the app out using the “growth” feature be aware that you can end up spending instead of making money. Per subscription the app charges $10 per new client you receive through the feature but it is not clearly stated that if they do not show up you still pay that fee. I find that baffling that it wasn’t clearly labeled before hand or else I would’ve set up a no show fee prior to using the growth feature. As of right now I’m still in the beginning stages of building clientele so I am not so strict on policies such as late fees and no shows but now knowing that if I don’t I am taking a risk at actually paying for nothing at all, losing money in the process of trying to make it but gaining no “growth” from it. I could just imagine if someone had multiple people book with them through that feature without showing up and losing a lot of money instead of making anything. I tried to reach out but can’t seem to get in real contact with anybody, just going in circles with an ai chatbot. Very frustrating to say the least. Also, do not expect most of your current clients to book with you through the cut because your link just takes them straight to the App Store to download another app that they don’t want/need. There should be a way clients can book without having to actually download anything.

The two most important features of the app don’t seem to work correctly. The app crashes when trying to search for photos to upload, it only works if the photo is one of the first few in my album. Meaning I have to take screenshots of pics and then delete them after I upload them. Second, you are unable to send your link to multiple people without sending a group text to everyone. Support told me to turn off certain features on my phone, which I don’t want to do for just this purpose. It should be the other way around. I’ve seen this feature on other apps that aren’t as intricate as this one so I know it’s doable and not very hard to accomplish. Looks like app development has halted and they’re happy with it as is. Finally, I waited several days for mobile pay verification just for it to be suspended before it was approved. With all of the fees associated with it and the authorization process for clients, it actually doesn’t matter to me that much as I didn’t intend on using it anyway. I wanted to use it only for the cancellation and no-show policy, or to at least test it out. I’ll give the app another few weeks to see if it’s worth it, or if I should pay a little more to actually be able to use the features that I need. Currently an “oversell” and disappointment.

Customers change phone numbers like crazy so it's very important to have their emails. Let's talk about deposits when a customer pays you on the app. It takes two business days for your money to deposit then the next thing you know deposit was failed even though the banking account and routing number is the same and correct another after the two days it says deposit was failed so the money returns back to your account so I went ahead and processed the payment for instant bank deposit. Well guess what it went through and the money was in the account that feels like The Cut app charge my customer to 2.75% and then charge me more money to deposit in my account when it should be deposited for free after two days. I just start using this app like a month ago. I would like to use it more but if we have problems, I might have to go to Square. Come on support team. Come on the app Cut let’s do better.
