Needs improvement still
Happy to hear there's an app finally, but still needs a lot of improvement to make it "convenient." You cannot change an existing order, nor can you browse the existing menu to make the change. Ordering meals looked good except for every day I have to keep clicking back and forth rather than swipe to the next day. There's also no easy way to view a week's lunch that has already been ordered for any future weeks. Almost there, but not fully usable yet.
I've been using this for a while now and have to say that I am a fan. It is SO much quicker than ordering online, especially having to order for 3 kids. I can now order a month's meals for them all in a couple of minutes.
Only one gripe- When I go to the shopping cart to pay, I press 'confirm' and it says 'payment failed' and then my shopping cart shows empty. It's been doing this every time I've used the app. However, the three meals show up in my order history and I know from experience that the meals are there when my kids arrive. I suppose it's not a big deal but it would be such an easy fix- why don't you fix it, Lunchmaster?!
Not user friendly
My biggest gripe about this app is that ordering is a 2-step process. Once you click on the item goes into your shopping cart which you then have to go into later and check out of or else the meal is not ordered. The last app we used ordered the food once you selected it so you didn’t have to think about it again after that. Unfortunately I’ve missed out on ordering my kids lunch on some days because I forgot to go back into the cart and checkout.
Also when I am trying to place multiple orders for both kids, the items screen keeps going blank and I have to close out of the app completely and then reopen it. This happens every single time over and over again.
It would also be nice if you could just click on the day of the calendar and the meals would pop up rather than having to select the date and then go up and hit order meals. It’s an extra step that isn’t necessary. I know it sounds like something small but when you’re a busy parent ordering meals in the middle of the day, removing these extra steps make things a lot quicker and easier for us.
I hate to make comparisons, but the developers should check out the “lunch is served” app. It is very user-friendly and makes ordering and changing meals a breeze.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
