Ratings and Reviews
Excellent, Responsive, Fast
I've been using this app for a couple months now. I love the fact I can see the temperature and quickly adjust it all from the Notification Center. In a instant, I can turn off the air.
Reading all the other reviews about not working and unable to load seem to be an early problem that they fixed before I downloaded the app. I can't say anything about the Apple Watch portion as I don't have one.
Being able to control the temperature, fan, and settings from the phone being locked it great without actually waiting for the Nest app to open.
Dreadful app that rarely works
I paid for this app full of hope that I would have quick access to my Nest settings that Nest themselves fail to provide. In the month that I've had it, it has worked as expected ONCE. Every other time it either doesn't show me the actual current configuration of my Nest, or it fails to successfully send an instruction. Each time you have to open the Nest app to verify what you are seeing or what you sent. So it renders this app useless. Deleted it. Don't waste your money.
Stop turning on my heater!!!!!!!!!!
Anytime I try to use force touch on my watch this stupid app always says that it turned the thermostat off, when in reality it turned on my heater. If I wanted the heater, I would've tapped the heater button.
Other than this, I guess it works marginally better. I wouldn't consider it broken any longer but it's not great by any means. Really only the widget is the best part but even that doesn't work a considerable amount of time.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
