Throw Me Something Bacchus‪!‬ 4+

I was so excited to hear about this app! Thought I could “catch a parade” virtually since they aren’t happening this year. I signed up and signed in. Tried to play the game. Not only do they want your location and Bluetooth on (why?), but also the camera. I guess it isn’t so much a fun game after all...sooo sad 😭😭😭
Fingers crossed for next year.

I “was” having fun with the app till 2 weeks ago. Since then when I go into the game, I get a “can not use back camera error” and the screen turns black. No parade, nothing. I was looking forward to the virtual parade this afternoon.

Edit: for some reason starting 2 weeks ago, my camera settings for this app changed. I reset them and now all is fine.

For future parades how will this app
Work. Will gps proximity be taken into consideration when catching the rare items? I don’t want to be pelted with a real bead while using my phone to catch a fake one. But is it fare to open the catches to the world while I am standing 3 feet from the floats?

This app is a lot of fun and is such a great way to keep the spirit of Mardi Gras alive even in an unusual year! I love the ability to customize my avatar, and it’s fun to get to collect special throws! (I can’t wait to see which ones we can redeem for real throws, too!) Well done to the whole Bacchus Krewe!
