Okay...

So I’ve been following the app for months and decided to finally give it a try, frankly I forgot about it. So I setup my profile, verified my identity, and paid for a subscription. I was hopping for a bigger pool of women/possible matches but within NYC there were only 40 within my search parameters.

I love the idea of the app, and I do think it has a lot of potential. I haven’t matched with anyone yet but I do like the idea of one day to either make it or break it... it gets rid of the classical two weeks of talking until you decide to ghost each other spontaneously...

The more people that join the app, the better it will be in my opinion. Kudos to the developers.

Don’t download. Not worth it

While I love the concept and their marketing - it involves BOTH parties to agree to the concept, otherwise the app doesn’t really work.
I find myself connecting with people but having a hard time in the limited hours to connect, find a date and then execute said date. It’s like Thursday applied the UBER model to Hinge.

It would be far better if you could match with people during the week and then on Wednesday, you saw your matches and on Thursday you could begin chatting. That would allow me to open the app and play around with during the week. Otherwise, it’s a dumb concept that will fail.

Beyond the, the “membership” add on is a huge waste. I don’t see the value of paying so much for using this 4 days out a month. On other dating apps, I typically match with people on tuesdays and Wednesday and make plans for Thursday.

All in all, Thursday took a cool idea but executed horribly. People who say “yes” to dating on Thursday are either unresponsive or out and about and don’t have time to chat with someone at the bar. They need to expand their parameters and allow users to use the app on other days with the idea that we go out on Thursday - otherwise it’s basically just a nice UI concept app parading around as a hook up app.

Please implement so more changes, make the membership worthwhile and price accurately and add more other flavors to the app that will really distinguish yourself from the Hinges and Bumbles of the world.

Pedestrian dating

I went to an event for the first time last night, I’ve been on the app for 2 weeks. The concept is cool but the dating pool is not. From my home location it was matching me with guys that work in my area as bartender’s, construction workers, and line cooks. The event was so loud and had a creepy vibe to it. It was exactly the type of place I would usually avoid, but would probably have tolerated in my 20’s.
I paid $15 for the upgrade and got absolutely nothing. You can’t see all your likes at once and you can’t keep messages so there is an urgency for the guy to get your number asap instead of chatting first. Canceled my subscription and will probably just check it every once in awhile to see if the dating pool has improved, but definitely not going to the events unless they have a 30+ one in a more chill environment
