Shall I Teach You About Tichu?

Legend has it that over 642 million Chinese play Tichu nearly every day! I don't know about that. All I know is that Tichu might very well be the world's best card game.

Tichu is a partnership game for four players where partners battle to be the first to play all of their cards and score points. Each hand is filled with strategy and risk. Will you be the first player to play all of your cards? Perhaps you'd like to make a little wager on that? Are you willing to risk 100 points? How about 200?

Tichu has long been the favorite card game of all time on BoardGameGeek. Find out why! I promise that you won't regret it!

Tichu boasts the following great features:

* Fully licensed and authorized by designer Urs Hostettler and publisher Fata Morgana Spiele.
* Computer controlled opponents boast a challenging and lifelike Artificial Intelligence that is configurable in numerous ways.
* Up to 4 humans can play linked over Bluetooth or Game Center.
* Full support for Game Center! including achievements, leaderboards, and world-wide multiplayer!
* Extensive tutorial and in-game documentation will teach you how to play and have you playing like a champ in no time.
* Shake-A-Hint™ feature helps you play while you learn.
* Music and sound effects.
* Keep track of up to 4 games at once.
* Keep track of your game's progress with a fully automated score sheet.
* Track your statistics over multiple game sessions.
* Play in English or German.
* Optimized high resolution images for iPhone 4 and iPad.
(It also looks fantastic on older iPhones and iPod touch.)

Just hope for multiplayer

This game in general is super fun and will be remembered throughout my childhood that I may even enjoy in the future! Very helpful and helps me practice until I play with my friends and family but I’m quiet upset that there isn’t multiplayer which may have made the game a little more fun and creative because of the very mistakes and very wise moves some players may make which makes it all in all way more entertaining and with communication at hand possibly with a mic making it even better of a game! Recommend it nonetheless. Hope it’s free in the future as well so more players can play and know about this very fun game.

Glitchy and bad logic

The game of Tichu is amazing! This app leaves much to be desired. Almost daily the app glitches and will just crash repeatedly when I try to play. Normally if I close it a couple times it then works but it seems to be getting worse. I had to uninstall and reinstall it a few days ago to get it to work for me, even restarting my phone would not fix it.
The app has not been updated in 5 years, so who the F@&$ knows why it just prompted me to give a review. Please update!!!!!!
Trying to ply online with friends almost never works.
The computer intelligence is a bad combination of card counters and complete idiots. There are little nonsensical rules they follow that make my partner screw me over in ways that make no sense. Like playing the 1 late in a hand after they have seen the opponent play the card they gave, they always still ask for the card anyway. But with the computer intelligence set to expert it is clear as each hand comes to a close that the computers have counted the cards perfectly, or even know who has what cards.
I would give it less than 3 stars but unfortunately I think it is the best Tichu app out there.

Great way to learn

I have friends that play Tichu regularly and I’ve been left out since I don’t know how to play and they’ve been far ahead in strategy. They taught me how to play recently, but I struggled with learning the right strategy.
This app has helped with that immensely. Being able to adjust your opponents and try different partners has been outstanding for learning the game. It’s greatly improved my game!
The partner can make some pretty bonehead moves sometimes (like taking a trick from you when you’ve called Tichu and clearly heading out). But, then again, I make some bone head moves as well.

One wish - sometimes I hit Call Tichu and then play my cards, forgetting to hit ‘OK’ to confirm. I wish it would either prevent play until you hit okay or allow you to back up a round and replay.
