Tile Family®:Match Puzzle Game 4+

I play a lot of phone games while I’m listening to podcasts and like everyone else I get ads for new games, think they look interesting, download them, and then they’re completely different. This game is actually the game advertised!! Not only is it a fun match-3 tile clearing game, but each new “story” is part of the larger story of the game and I finally get to do something to help these sad characters who need their home repaired, or plumbing fixed, etc. There’s also the occasional mini game for extra coins, the game is generous with power-ups that can help clear levels, and I went ahead and bought the ad-free because I’m enjoying it so much. If you like the ads, you’ll like the game, because this is finally one that is true to the advertising!

I really enjoyed this game! Great levels, challenges, generous rewards, etc! Like some other reviewers said - after a certain amount of levels, things got pretty frustrating. Hard and Super hard levels started popping up, which of course made you use power ups and special skills - all designed to make you purchase more power ups.
Then at a certain level ADs start popping up after every level. Most of the time your choices are: automatic ads *sometimes with the fwd arrows to end it earlier, OR you can choose to watch the full AD for extra coins, OR you can choose Home button which takes you to ADs between levels, there is no longer levels without ads.
There are race and timed challenges that are interrupted with ADs so sometimes it’s impossible to win against people who obviously have paid for no ads… or bots.
A developer response to someone who posted earlier was “we rely on ads , etc… thank you for your understanding.”
Well, so many ads all the time makes it really frustrating to play. I had to delete due to lack of enjoyment because of so many ads that even interrupting gameplay in the middle of puzzles. Please reduce the ads. Thank YOU for your understanding.

This game is fun and honestly pretty addictive in a good way. For some reason the scenes in each story really makes me strive to “fix the problem”. But the problems I have is with the ads. Not that they gain support from ads, but that I keep getting on specific ad for another app called My Passion: Romance Books, which is advertised as a romance story app.

The problem is - the ad itself is pretty offensive. The story that sits on your screen for over 30 seconds is an awful example of toxic masculinity and could easily be interpreted as condoning abuse as one character threatens another. This ad is on repeat during the game. It appears all the time and in some cases is the only add you see for days. After the main part has passed your left with a screen to a different story that forces you to scroll up and looks to be a story of a girl one day from turning 18 who is fantasizing about an upcoming escapade. It’s disturbing to me. Look. I don’t care what people want to read, but being forced to see this ad over and over is a bit much. The only way to “stop” that is to pay a fee. If you’re going to allow ads, all good, but this game is rated 4+ I believe and that ad certainly isn’t.
