We took out a Till debit card (as recommended by the tour operator) for our 13-year-old daughter to use on two upcoming multi day out-of-town / country educational trips she will be taking with classmates. One business day before the start of her first trip, I gave a family member incorrect instructions on how they could add money to the card; and out of security concerns, Till did the prudent thing and closed the account. That left me rather desperate to get it reopened on very short notice. And that’s where Kevin in the customer service/support group at Till really stepped up to the plate. He went over and above norms - after hours - to get the account reopened and the card reactivated so my daughter could use it on her trip. I can’t say enough about the service he provided and the professionalism he showed in multiple email exchanges. His sincerity in undoing a mess I made was very evident and commendable. I think Till has a bright future. The concept of teaching teens fiscal/financial responsibility, while using a debit card that has parental controls, makes a lot of sense in today’s world. And for a young company like Till to have such a firm grasp on what customer service/support entails is impressive. I would highly recommend Till to anyone, and I wish them the best of success

Edit: The company ended up responding that they had a personal emergency and were unable to respond to customer service requests for a few days. They did indeed end up mailing a bank card via FedEx Express and it worked great for my daughter on her trip. I changed my star review from one to four as it would be helpful for them to have a backup person to answer customer emails.I tried twice to receive a bank card for my daughters trip as this company was recommended by EF Tours. Eventually their customer service just started ignoring me once I expressed that her trip was sooner than the 15 business days they ended up asking me to wait to receive the card (original time estimate was 7-10 days). Let’s also mention that for the second attempt, I expressed it was urgent and they didn’t send the card out for a WEEK after they lied and told me it was sent next day. For the third attempt, all I wanted was the card overnighted with signature delivery so I had a way to send my daughter money when she was on her trip. I’ve emailed multiple times and have gotten zero response. This company doesn’t seem to care about their customers and they take 48+ hours to respond to emails before they just flat out start ignoring you. Would never recommend them to anyone.

I LOVE the simplicity of this app no extra junk clouding up the profile, I don’t need ads and investing and other gimmicks thrown at me all the time while just trying to give my kids an allowance without having to go to the atm every time. It’s great. Now for the negatives, you can’t customize their cards, if you want your child to have access on their end you have to create them an email address which to me is the biggest downfall because my youngest 2 using this service are 8 and 9 and I just find it unnecessary for them to have an email address at that age. I understand they can still use their card without having access to the app but then it’s just an imaginary land that has their money rather than them being able to track in real time how much they’re saving etc. I’m hoping with time this will improve. Also it was a pain to link my bank account for some reason but we finally got it figured out. Please keep it simple, that is honestly this apps best feature to me, I can’t stand all the busyness of other apps. Thanks Till!

As a parent I sign up Saturday, August 28th for the family account and send an invite where my child can join me. My child is only 13 years old and when we tried to create her account we run into issues shortly after opting to not login via fingerprint. It said We are now stuck on a screen that said some of information doesn’t match their records. What record is that? Then they said they might ask my 13 year old for drivers license, tax return, utility bill, lease agreement or paystub. This is not kids friendly. It should be easy to join in matter of minutes and what kind of app is this asking kids for these proof of identity that should only be asked of an adult. We had been trying to have this resolve for almost a week now with no solution and it takes forever to receive an email response and there’s no phone number to contact anyone. This problem should be and easy fix and they can’t do it. It’s scary to be banking with an insinuation that doesn’t have a number and no way to get a hold of them. Is this a scam? Now they have all of personal info and my child doesn’t have an account. Please stay away there’s better Bank out there for children that is kids friendly. You have been warned!
