More than just a dating app, Tinder has been updated to become one of the most engaging, fun, and social apps around. Of course, finding matches is still a huge highlight—but with smart group chats, an awesome Apple TV app, and Super Likes to go around, we’re swiping right on this one.
Changing for the better?
Honestly, Tinder has come a long way since I last tried using it. That might not be to everyone’s liking, but as someone hoping to find people to go out with and possibly develop a relationship with, I think it’s pretty good. At this point, Tinder feels like a decent mix of speedy swiping but with enough substance in a profile to get some sort of measure of the person beyond looks - when people bother to fill out their bio anyhow. Obviously it’s far from perfect but dating apps in general are probably a flawed concept. Probably half of the functionality is meant to make things difficult so that you give in and pay the rather significant subscription fees.
One pretty specific complaint that I have is that with the subscription comes the ability to send people messages along with the “Super Like” feature. I honestly think that should be available in general without the need to pay. Could just limit the amount a person can do it. I also think it should be something you can do on profiles you’ve already swiped on.
Anyways, back to using this app as a distraction and probably little else!

They have monetized the heck out of this app and this app will not leave you alone so long as it’s installed on your phone. It sends you messages and alerts every 5 seconds and none of them are worth reading! It’s like the pesky lil kid that use to follow other kids around that wouldn’t shut up until they beat em up. It is annoying and I shouldn’t have to shut down tinder notifications so that I’m not getting a message to tell me to open up the darn app. The app functions but it’s such a paywall that I don’t want to use it. There are a ton of better apps out there that don’t claim to be free that provide better services without demanding you pay more for literally everything. Moral of the story. Don’t bug the people with money. You’re just going to tick us off. We have much more important issues to worry about than getting on tender ever 5 seconds.
Very few people that are not bots are worth dating. You have a lot of those. Even gals that are diamonds in the rough are marked popular so they won’t match with you unless you pay more after paying more to pay more. I’ve never liked Tinder in comparison to a lot of other apps and I remember why after downloading this app again. It’s just a force of habit since this was the go to app years ago.
