Programed with 8-bit love!! Unrequited, from lack of controller support!

I love this game, it is the perfect thing to play in a waiting room (when I forget to put my gameboy back in my purse), car ride or just at home relaxing. It has obviously been programed with love by a true retro geek!

The only thing it lacks is controller support. Now that apple added support for xbox controllers I have been gaming with my phone clipped to a controller. I have also started to see the iPhone as a bona fide handheld gaming device. As much as I love this game, I hate touch controllers. So I have not played this game as much as I want and the Time playing is marred by bad controls. Please I beg of you!!!! Add controller support!! It cant be gameboy inspired without a D-pad!!

Short, but totally worth a grab!

This game will take you about 1-3 hours maximum to finish, but the game is extremely high quality with superb level design and engaging gameplay! There isn’t really a single low point in my opinion! Sure, it’s 99 cents, but what else would you spend 99 cents on? A candy bar? That’s not a very demanding price. Game developers have bills to pay too and they made a really great game. Sure, there are other phone games that provide more content for free... but... it’s 99 cents... that’s NOTHING!

I have a few problems though. This is a bit petty, but the title is a bit misleading. It’s called Tiny Dangerous Dungeons; it’s plural even though there’s one dungeon... Also, I wish there was more content, this game’s concept and gameplay are so great and it’s definitely fine just the way it is, I just wished they expanded upon it a little more to make something really special! But at the very least, this game is proof that these game designers have talent and hopefully this game is just a test before these designers really get there feet wet with a much more ambitious game. Even if they aren’t interested in making a much bigger game, I will still look forward to whatever high quality game they have next! :)

OK not GREAT

Just bought the game yesterday and beat the game today. Even at $0.99, I don't think it's worth it. Sword of Xolan is the same price, and definitely worth it's weight in gold. It's an OK game for someone looking for a little time to kill, but if you want to be immersed in an adventure, this is not it.

PROS:
-cool retro background music
-controls not cluttered on the screen
-various levels of difficulties
-Game Center achievements
-time trial for the brave and quick
-hidden pathways for finding fruit treasures

CONS:
-frame lags, crashes, and freezes, especially in the level before the boss (running from 6+)
-short (one of those quick games to pass by time)
-boss level too easy
-getting hit makes character jump 3 feet back (this is especially hard if you get hit near the lava by bats when getting the key for the boss door)
-momentum causes landing (from jumping) to not be accurate so you must control the character if jumping between ledges
-a bug where if a character goes near the furthest corner of the ledge, he is stuck there and can't move

I only got 2 of the 4 fruits. I didn't bother trying to find the rest because the game kept crashing/freezing when I died.

I had better expectations for this game. I hope they fixed the freezing/lags.
