“Tippy Love”

I do love tippy -I owned a larger salon had a few girls have it. They loved that it went right to savings or checking accounts. Stylists-and some owners are not educated on Tipping and the benefits to stylists. For Buying a home , car , applying for a loan, and your SS benefits if tips aren’t properly tracked and paid in, that income is excluded.
As an owner, it was easy-I never included tips on credit cards so customers always had to have cash, which was inconvenient for them. When my staff reported their tip income it was more work for me. Credit card fees are higher than using Tippy for the owner so it’s a win-win for both the stylus and the owner. Do yourself a favor it’s a small investment but a great opportunity for everyone.

Tippy is a win for the owner as well as service providers.

As an owner we are faced with many challenges but playing bank for gratuities does not need to be one of them with Tippy. Tippy assures the correct service provider is receiving their intended gratuities, cuts down on the amount of cash we need to keep within the salon and helps with reporting. Their customer service is amazing and we have been able to have any question answered in a timely manner. I’d highly recommend looking at bringing Tippy into your location, I’m glad we did.

Really confusing UI - Please Fix!!

I’m a salon customer AND an IT person. The UI on tippy is so misleading and NOT user friendly. The first thing you see is a keypad to enter an amount and a return key that says “tip away”. This makes the user think they are sending a tip already. The first screen should say “how much was your haircut/massage/color process etc. and then the return key should just say “return”, with the instructions to hit return or next, etc. THEN, the second screen will make sense. As it is, I end up putting my tip amount in the first screen and end up with crazy amounts on the 2nd screen. Because I go only once every five weeks, I never remember the correct process, just that it’s wonky in some way, and the hostess invariably has to come around to the front of the counter to help me. Waste of time! Please fix this!!! So annoying!!
