Over the past year and a half since I started creating more short form video content, I have been on the hunt for the most efficient and effective software I can use for editing and color grading. Tone has simplified the process of color grading video with its presets and made it very easy to color grade to a professional capacity with its tools which include a HSL feature and the two tone curve graphs (RGB and CYMK). Whilst it is a great app in terms of color grading capacity, my grievances with the app come from two things: 1. It crashes frequently on startup to the point I can’t use the app, and warily use it when it does launch to color grade because it will crash when I am in the middle of color grading, and 2. You can’t save your editing/past edits as a user preset. It has gotten to the point where I have deleted the app several times due to its instability, and the latter point is always something I think about whenever I am editing. Other than that, it’s a great app that simplifies the process of color grading and makes it less overwhelming for someone who wants to get into the world of content creation or simply wants to edit their photos and videos for their own use.

The app doesn’t actually work anymore :( it used to!! And it used to be my FAVORITE. I used it consistently for my small business. Now, your videos won’t even save. When you try and save them, the app glitches completely. When reaching out to the company, I was praying they had an app update coming to fix this problem… it should be first priority, right? If they’re selling this product to the masses, it should at least work, right? Their response was discouraging. They basically said “we’re sorry, it works randomly sometimes, and that we’re working on a solution but there’s nothing we can do at this time.” It’s been a year of a glitchy *expensive* app. There is no urgency to to fix it, and they continue to promote it online :( safe to say, this investment has become a scam. Small business owners: this is not for you! At least not until an update comes out!

This App is great and is my go to and especially like the recent updates and additions. Because it’s my go to, I cannot get over a few annoying aspects and bugs. The sensitivity to some of the options is really odd. It’s hard to select “CYMK” and “RGB” options unless I click multiple times and it works at random. Currently for video, they are not working at all for me. I’ve updated the App and all. The HSL moves at random for me. I’d select a number and then go back to check and it would be a totally different mark then where I left it at. Currently the sliders are not working. Overall great app but these aspects are very difficult to navigate.

This is a complete waste of an app.Great features, but useless because you cannot save the video or share it.It gives you the options to, but loading it for saving or sharing takes a more ridiculous amount of time than you can reasonably sit and wait. You cannot leave the app or let your phone close during the “download” or it will just stop and you’ll have to restart and wait again. I literally sat by my phone for 10 minutes making sure it wouldn’t get disrupted. Looked away for a split second. My phone closed. The 75% save was completely lost and just said “save complete” without actually saving. This is almost April 2022. Don’t waste your time

Editing: it’s become my one stop shop for editing pictures and videos on the go. I have a few picture/videos saved as presents and then I can quickly add the changes and tweak it from there. For developers: lately this app has begun to crash about 1/3 of the time. Usually it’s when I’m opening up the app or adding more pictures. The workaround I’ve found is to close off every other app I have open (I’m a developer as well, maybe it had something to do with memory).

This app seriously is a no brainer! This takes the job of 3-4 apps and packs it all into one! I’m all about making my workflow more efficient and this is perfect for making high quality insta stories on the fly! Well worth the low price for the yearly membership. I’ve paid $600 for an overlay pack that was only for desktop and didn’t even have as many overlays.. I could have subscribed to this app for 20 years for that price lol. What I’m trying to say is this app really is the real deal! Thank you guys for making this!!
