Description

When you put an extension on a torque wrench, the torque applied to the fastener increases.

Use the Norbar Torque Wrench Extension Calculator app to find what value you should set into the wrench to achieve the required fastener torque.

The app comes in four language options, English, French, German & Spanish. The language option is only available on the initial loading of the app.

Spare, but works

Note to users: the units are irrelevant so long as you’re consistent.

The units don’t have to be all metric or all English.

e.g. : if you use furlongs for both lengths and kg-inches for both torques, you get the right answer.

It’s also important to know how to use a torque wrench with an extender:
- Always keep the wrench and extension in line. (Not at an angle)
- Always push from the center of the torque wrench’s handle (or wherever you measured L1 & L2 from)

If you do those, it works great!
