Rien ne sert de courir! La Fontaine's famous fable in French — learn the language through this timeless story with bilingual audio.
Rien ne sert de courir — il faut partir à point. La Fontaine's immortal moral, drawn from the Aesop original, sits at the heart of Le Lièvre et la Tortue — one of the most famous fables in the French literary tradition. The boastful hare sprints ahead, takes a nap, and watches in disbelief as the tortoise crosses the finish line.
For French language learners, this fable is a treasure: short, clear, rhythmic, and full of the basic comparison vocabulary and present tense narrative structures that beginners need first. This bilingual app places French and English side by side, with native audio for every sentence — letting you hear, read, and absorb the language simultaneously.
A perfect starting point for A1-A2 learners, or a delightful warm-up for anyone at any level.
