Color now broken
I love this app, but the recent update has broken the color functionality. Custom colors are no longer added to the "in this mind map" section, and do not "stick" within the mind map itself--the colors revert to standard shades or something else, which is not at all helpful when the color is used for something meaningful in the visualization. Please fix this so that it functions the way that it did in the previous version!! I'm also having difficulty moving the bubbles around on my newly-created mind maps, so I'm wondering if there may be a bug there also...
Not great, not bad, but better than most.
Out of all the apps and extensions I've checked, this is the only one that turned out to satisfy me at all. The fact that the bubbles float around slowly for a bit gives it a contemplative feel, which somehow gives me some sort of thinking edge. In efficiency, this app is simple and clear to get by with, which is good.
However, my concerns are the appearances. I hate the childish colors. It seems too elementary school-oriented. I'd like some sort of option that changes the interface of the whole thing. I want a more serious look. Instead of just cute little bubbles, how about thought clouds that slightly change shape, and the priority colors would be from white clouds to very dark clouds with a lightning bolt (doesn't matter how it looks)? Or a picture of a neuron, and the lines that connect the neuron bubbles are the leg things that protrude from them? Or how about just circles that slightly glow? Anything that looks very professional, because that helps (me specifically) get in the zone of putting everything together. Add that bit to the app, and I will gladly pay at least 99c for the app, guarantee that I will be satisfied, AND vouch that this app is the way to go.
Until then, I give this app 3/5, but specifically a 3.7 out of 5.
Does
Update: after using the premium version of this app for years, the latest IOS update made all my previous work unavailable. I can no longer open this app unless the developer decides to make updates. Changed from 5 stars to one because now it’s worthless since I cant open the app.
Simple to use. I love it! When I first started using, I had trouble with crashing, but learned that closing app and reopening frequently prevents loss of data. Also, you need to go to website to learn how to manually arrange bubbles. A very useful tool!
