Solid FTP Game, But a Question with Killer Ability
This is a really solid game. The controls are simple and responsive, and gameplay hardly feels random. I haven’t spent a dime and am making my way up the fourth tower and am rank III in pvp. Sure pvp is unbalanced because sometimes you just match against someone who’s paid more money than you but in my experience if you go in with solid gear and dont start pvp until you’re at least near the top of the first tower and have a good weapon the rewards are well worth it. It’s basically necessary to watch an ad for the 10 minute x3 attack speed buff, but I don’t mind it since you normally play for about 10 minutes anyways. There’s some replayability in towers you’ve cleared previously by farming bosses for shield and armor drops, but you’re mostly just going to be farming to level up your lower tier gear youre not wearing for passive devil power. It’s repetitive but not all bad, clearing a boss doesn’t take too long and it feels rewarding to go back to a level youve struggled with and just annihilate the boss. My question though, what’s up with the Killer ability level? When I level it up, the trigger rate doesn’t actually increase on screen. This may be a GUI bug, a semantic/logical bug, or maybe the level upgrade does something that’s not obvious. Either way, I’m enjoying the game without feeling pressured to pay so far, which is a huge compliment considering most FTP games are just gambling simulators.
This game is really fun. I even paid money on it to remove ads. My one problem is I’ve invested money in the game and I’m playing it regularly only to have never gotten even one epic weapon. I know I could spend more money and buy one, but that seems kind of unfair. I’ve played countless other games, maybe in the thousand range. This game has my attention because it reminds me of games I played when I was younger on the original Nintendo. The concept and gameplay is good. I wouldn’t change too much, I’m just really disappointed that with the multiple thousand chests I’ve opened and the replaying the bosses so many times, I have yet to get a single epic weapon. I’m hesitant to spend any more money on this game because of the frustration of the weapons. If I do manage to get a good weapon, I’d have to purchase red souls to raise the level. I think the really good armors and epic weapons are a little TOO difficult to obtain. Maybe make an achievement list or guild or something besides spend money to obtain these items? Maybe put in a daily log in to help with this or something. Also, I haven’t noticed a developer response in any of these comments. Maybe let them know your active? Lol
Lots of potential but lots of things that ruin it
I was going to give this a 5 star rating then I noticed a few things that got aggravating so then I was going to give it a 4 star but then I played pvp and that’s what brought it down to a 3 star. First off it is IMPOSSIBLE to get better shields and armor at a lower level of the game. No matter how hard I try I always get weapon chests and I already have an amazing weapon. Due to not being able to get a better shield my shield cooldown is absolute garbage. I am on floor 41 of the first tower and it is impossible to beat floor 50 because my shield cooldown is so slow. Either buff the shield cooldown or make it easier to get new shields at lower levels. Second PVP is very unbalanced and I mean VERY unbalanced. I tried doing pvp and in my first round I got matched up with someone that had a TON of good items. This person must have atleast been past the first tower or almost past the first tower. Then in my second round it was the same thing a dude with a ton of good stuff. Not only that but both these players had 4 hearts when I had 3. In order to have good pvp and a pvp that people will come back to will need to be balanced and the pvp for this game just isn’t. This game is fun and it has lots of potential but the things I just stated really ruined it for me.
