Finally settling on this one

If you look very long for an app like this, the ones you find will generally either keep track of your medical history and only include medications as informational data, or they brush past a medical record and get down in the weeds counting pills. I think I'm going to end up using one of both types, and Track My Rx is easily the best choice that I could find for tracking meds. It's a little quirky in places, but once you get the starting data input, if it's Tuesday and you should have two pills left, you can count on the accuracy of the app. It lets you pull medications into groups - am Meds, pm Meds for example - and record having taken all those drugs with one click. You can set reminders letting you know when something is low enough that it needs attention - refill, doctor consultation, etc., and you can also set reminders on each individual medication to make sure you take it when prescribed. It doesn't include some choices in some places, for example taking account of a med you take every other day or take two of at once, but these can generally be worked around. And finally, while the "syncing" mechanism is a little clunky, it's simply an email message to yourself to download to any other device. If they could get that to be a real-time synch via iCloud (or even wifi) I'd up my rating in a heartbeat. Good job, folks!!

Good app

I like this app, but I wish it would let me use pictures of the Meds I already have in my picture album rather than needing to take new ones. I use this app to keep track of the meds I take and when they are due to be refilled.

Notetaking...

I wote a review in Jan., but wanted to add something I did. My granddaughter's asthma/allergies drive me crazy, but this app helps me keep track of the various meds I give her and when. I have been using the Notes feature a lot recently due to her having fits of coughing at night. I actually just went in and added a new medication, but I named it Notes. This way, I can add notes between meds or about the results of dosages afterwards. I add information about how her coughing has increased, decreased, or how long it took for the meds to kick in. I really love this app. I still haven't used the email option between devices, but now I am wondering about a print option for the historical view. I need to go see bout that since that would be great to do.
