Good game, terrible translation
I do enjoy the game so far but the crab stick translation is incredibly off putting. I get the Trails series is a massive text dump but Jesus it feels like the translations were done through Google translate and it just mucks up a potentially great game. Pay for proper translations please.

Nothing Special
Just like many games based off of established ips, this game is really only worth playing if you love Trails of Cold Steel, and ever then probably not. The English translation is not great, the graphics are serviceable at best, and the combat is the same thing you have seen in a hundred other idle games. Also the game doesn’t even seem to work correctly as I got a notification that I unlocked arena but whenever I try to go there it says the content is unavailable.
The story is pretty bland through 3 chapters, and it follows a new protagonist, so it’s not even like the characters you know and love are here.
Also, the monetization is awful. There are 3 battle passes at launch, and there is an infinite reroll that lets you get whatever character you want (which is free in pretty much every game I have ever seen it in) but it costs $21 here. $21 for a 10 pull is pretty pricey.
Even as a huge Trails of Cold Steel fan I doubt I will keep playing this for more than a week, and if I do it will be at the most casual f2p level.

Bugs and machine translation galore
I have no idea what Userjoy was thinking releasing the game in this state. I have encountered several tutorial bugs, with one of them completely breaking my game and putting me in an infinite loop. This started when the game crashed when I tried to arrange my formation in the Hero menu. When I restarted the game, the Forest of Trials tutorial reappeared! Going through the prompts gets me stuck in “the boss has been defeated” screen. I’ve data cleared and reinstalled but the bug will not go away. This combined with the several spelling errors and asset switches is why I cannot recommend this game at its current state. This review may change if things get fixed.
