Trala helps you learn violin at any age, from anywhere.

Here’s how it works:

On day 1, we’ll match you with the right teacher, someone who understands your goals and makes you actually want to practice. Zoom lessons let you squeeze in violin between meetings, after school, or when the family has gone to bed.

When you’re not in a lesson, Trala uses signal processing, cutting edge technology that analyzes the sound of your violin and gives you instant feedback on pitch and rhythm every time you practice. When you play the wrong notes, we’ll help you get back on track.

Learn violin by playing the music you love - whether that’s Bach, Britney (Spears), Bluegrass, or (Bela) Bartok. Stay motivated between lessons with the world’s largest library of violin videos and exercises featuring folks like Joshua Bell, Katie Jacoby (The Who), and Kiana June Weber.

Trala’s in-app violin tuner provides high-precision tuning while teaching you the skills to tune by ear. During your first violin lesson, your teacher will show you how to quickly get in tune with Trala’s violin tuner.

Trala’s interactive sheet music library will teach you 500+ beloved songs, from Happy Birthday to Bach partitas. With the help of your Trala teacher, learn to play folk, blues, Celtic fiddle, classical, and jazz sheet music. Want to learn a song that’s not in the app? Tell your Trala teacher, and they’ll provide you with the sheet music.

Trala’s mission is to make world-class music education available to every single person on Earth. We’re here to give you the lessons, feedback, and support you need to become a violinist. Over 400,000 students from 193+ countries have downloaded Trala to learn violin.

10/10 Recommend

I’ve always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, in particular the violin. As an adult student (early 30s) taking on an instrument that demands a dedicated and consistent practice schedule can be daunting. Much to my delight, I came across Trala having minimal experience reading music, no experience playing an instrument before, and no idea what I was doing or in for back in November. After a few weeks, Trala introduced the opportunity to be paired up with my current teacher, Nikki Naghavi. She has been instrumental to my success in both navigating the app with more depth and appreciation, technique and tips, as well as any song that I am interested in learning (that is often times in the Trala library of songs)! I went from “Twinkle, Twinkle” in November to starting Bach’s “Minuet 3” this week and I’m very proud of that feat! Although any student will find their happy medium between the app, a teacher, and any other resources at disposal (Suzuki books, other sheet music, etc), I particularly find accountability motivating which this app has. One more thing: I really like that the creators emphasize this platform as a means to make violin practice more accessible to students of all ages and walks of life.

Highly Recommend Trala

I was searching for a teacher at the time I purchased the Trala app.
I thought it would be a real challenge to find the right instructor for myself. I had a couple of violin apps already downloaded but discovered that the Trala app was not just another ordinary violin app. To my amazement, it was a door to a garden of musical treasures, of video lessons and exceptional professional violinists, almost 500 songs to practice on the app from beginner to advanced, scales and arpeggios. The app helps you in practicing rhythm, tempo, and pitch as you are learning. Then my Trala experience exceeded my expectations when I no longer had to search for a violin instructor. Trala has many professional violin instructors for you to choose from for private lessons. My violin instructor Rachael Miller has been instrumental in accelerating me
forward in my musical journey with her teaching and encouragement. I hope one day I will play as fabulous as Rachael.
Thank you,Trala, for providing a field of talent and opportunities that Trala offers for learning violinists to make their dreams and aspirations possible in becoming an actual reality.

What can I say!

I was told years ago I could never learn by my dad. I lost all passion for music and trying out after being told that. Skip forward many years later and I got a spur after listening to an electric violin player and was like I am going to do it. Then again life threw me curve balls. I did not know how to start, where, or even who to ask. Come to Christmas this year. My wife buys me new strings, shoulder rest and gives me the confidence to try this time. She uses the app for her piano and was like their is one for violin. So today I got started and just wow. I wish I started so much sooner. Still just in the trail and learning for ground zero but the lessons so far are easy and great to understand. I am overjoyed on hearing myself play and wanting to say thank you for all the teachers on this app for making these lessons and giving us your experience to help us old guys fall back In love with a passion we lost.
