Security features are self defeating

This app, as well as the web site will not let you change your password by copy and paste. Many users trying to generate secure passwords will use a password manager to generate long and complex passwords (20 characters or more). You cannot paste these passwords into the change password field. You have to type them, twice (assuming you don’t mess up). 40+ characters, upper and lower case, numbers, and special characters on a mobile device. And you have to write it down or switch back and forth between apps to read the complex password. I’m sure someone thought this was a security feature, but this actually encourages users to select simpler passwords. Also, secret questions are the only form of multi factor authentication. There is no support for authenticator apps. All my other financial institutions support more advanced MFA.

Absolutely Awful. Awful.

This app is an absolute disaster. It’s an insult. Whoever thought this was a good idea should immediately be removed from their position. Remove this app from your corporate offerings immediately. Who on earth thought the Transamerica should be involved in anything other than showing me my balance, my performance, and allowing me to a just my contributions and funds?
Absolute hot mess. Absolute mess. Can’t believe that anybody ran through a test run with this app and thought this should be the go live version. Absolute abject failure on the part of the app design team. Absolutely could not be worse.
I can’t even access my account information for my retirement plan other than viewing my balance after several minutes trying to find it.
Why on earth would you disable the only positive function of your app and add all that garbage? Absolutely awful.
I can’t say enough about how bad this app is.

This new app is frustrating

As someone who only uses Transamerica app to see my retirement account balances, this new app makes no sense and is frustrating to use. First, you don’t immediately see your balance like you used to be able to with the previous app. It looks like it’s under one of the other tabs, which I was trying to get to, but it keeps doing the loading/thinking Transamerica icon thing and I wasn’t even able to get to that page! Second, there so much more health information than financial information! While I understand that health and wealth can go hand in hand, I really don’t need that to be the focus when I get health education from my health provider already. Third, It takes FOREVER for the app to load!! I think I’ve only been able to get in twice before I eventually get stuck seeing the Transamerica loading icon thing. Terrible!
