You advertise this app as being for people who can’t transcribe long lectures. Well neither can this app. It transcribes a 12 second voice memo just fine, but I upload one that’s 4 minutes in length, and it takes forever just getting to the app, then when it finally does, it won’t transcribe. It crashes every time I click play.
And why are you re-transcribing every time the file is played? It should only transcribe it once, at the very least so that edits stay.
There’s a 60 second limit on voice recognition requests to apple if you weren’t aware. Try splitting the audio into multiple files if it’s longer than 60 seconds and making multiple requests.
Not Nearly Ready for Release
It looks like the developer has a nice start on this app but I’m surprised to see that it’s available on iTunes. The app did a pretty good job of starting to record one of my imported recordings. However, a minute or so in the transcribing stopped. The the app crashes quite often.
I save a VM with the app and everything goes black in VM and does nothing.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
