A modern day tool to get organised for a trip and help you find your way around - the easy way.

Planning a holiday or road trip somewhere? Looking for a modern day tool to help you get organised? Or maybe you are looking to skip the "tedious" holiday planning process altogether, and simply want to grab a detailed travel itinerary (and tips!) off someone else who knows your destination well?

Once you have a trip created on the (free to use) website, take those trip plans with you anywhere (on your phone) with this TRAVAA app.

This app features:

1. A full day-by-day itinerary view of all the places and things you would like to do on the trip.
Your place activities are coloured by day and present large images for you to see where you will visiting. Quick links to the destination's website and phone number allow easy access to last minute online ticket purchases and phone reservations.

2. A large map showing your current location and all the places you will be visiting.
This app uses the GPS on your phone to keep your map location current (Internet not required). The app is also linked to Apple and Google Maps, sat-nav directions (Internet required) are simply two taps away from any point of interest on your TRAVAA map. You will never be lost on a self guided trip again, ever! Unless you want to off course; in which case, simply turn off your phone :-).

We hope you enjoy using this app. Please feel free to email any questions/issues to us at .

Happy travels!

What I’ve been searching for

Let me start by saying this is the first time I’ve ever written a review for an app; that’s how impressed I am.

The user interface on the computer is unparalleled. I am a fairly detailed traveler in the sense that I like to have more planned then needed to minimize the “what’s next?” on any trip. This allows you to add the most popular attractions in a given area as you scroll a map or your own stops with the pinpoint feature. Being able to drag and drop on the itinerary is a life saver, I use to plan in maps, tripit, excel, etc and this is by far the easiest application yet.

I have been searching for this solution for almost a year now and have gone as far as starting to develop my own site/app, I am thrilled to find a solution I didn’t have to develop. I would add that being able to update from the phone would be a great addition but it appears it is in the works. Furthermore, I think if there was an average time spent at each of the recommended locations that would be incredibly helpful. These are just minor nitpicks of an incredible designed and user friendly app. Great job!

Attractive interface for viewing itinerary

The website makes it easy (and fun) to plan your itinerary if you've got a bunch of locations to visit and want to plot your schedule efficiently. For the mobile app, you can only view your itinerary, but a killer feature would be ability to upload (securely) QR codes for various monuments and travel partners & attach them to your itinerary... Visiting attractions in multiple cities run by multiple agencies means lots of emails to keep track of. Ability to add & show walking routes or driving trips would also be nice.

Developer Response ,

Hi N.O. Spam, thanks for your review and suggestions. We are glad you find our website easy & fun in planning an efficient travel schedule. We integrate with TripIt (Concur), which many travelers already use. You can forward all your travel confirmation emails to a (free) TripIt account and import that into Travaa. Travel with your trip information in one place. ..

Travaa is designed to handle fairly large trips, up to 100+ attractions/activities per trip (spanning multiple cities & countries). It also caters to travelers looking to do/experience much more and even planning longer trips (2-4 weeks). To keep it simple and uncluttered, the app leaves out walking/ driving/ train/ cruise/ flight routes (for now), but instead provides an integrated Apple/Google Directions (route & sat-navigation) feature. Be free to wander around (a big part of the fun in traveling & exploring), and still find your way to the next (100) attractions/locations. For particular routes you want to visit, feel free to add “waypoint” markers along that route for the trip. The website allows you to place your markers *anywhere* in the world. ..

A little disappointing to see that your mentioned points comes with such a low rating. We take on board your points and continue to work hard building out a high-quality app. Will see where we can do better. In version 2 of the app, you will be able to update attractions/activities from your phone. Please feel free to reach me at Thanks again, Chris. Founder.
