Travel Insured 4+

As my title states: I really hope this Insurance company and Insurance package is better than this app! When I purchased the travel insurance package, I did so thru their website. That was easy. They made it convenient to simplify use my Google Account to create their new account.

Easy Peezy! Yeah, so you’d think. Well, before we take our 2 week 5rip to Vietnam, I thought - let’s install their easy-to-use IOS app onto my iPhone and iPad…. You know… Let’s make things easy, “just in case” of an emergency! Oh no…. Don’t even think about it!! Just because we allow you to open your account and make a transaction using your Google Account, we absolutely will NOT allow our “easy-to-use” “for emergency use” App, compatible. Nope! You can use your Google Account for browser access only. It will not work with the app.

Ok… ok… well, there should be an easy work around - right? Just open your browser, go into your account and create another user name for the app. Hah! They already thought of that! I think the app developer was either drunk, or received a ‘heads-up’ that he was gonna be let go, because …. You’ll never get that to work!! Go ahead try. Try again… and again…. Give up? I did.

This app is completely broken. Whenever I try to login, it gives me an error saying that it is unable to create an account. Note, I already have an account and I’m able to log in through web browser on my laptop. Somehow, after that weirdness I am able to click on a link in the app for my account. When I do, an error message keeps flashing on the screen and does not go away. At this point my only option is to exit the app. So, I can’t login. I can’t see my trip policies. And the app basically crashes when I try to look at my account. Someone needs to fix this app.

I just downloaded the app for upcoming trip. Like others have said, use is a bit cumbersome & not being able to see the policy directly in the app is disappointing. However, it still has useful features. The trip advisor is helpful. Can find medical facilities in the area your traveling. When you click on a facility it gives you the chance to visit their website. That was very useful today researching nearby hospitals. Visiting the websites made it clear which one we would go to if needed. Not all hospitals are created equal, especially outside of the US. Other info in the trip advisor includes vaccines for the country you are traveling to, as well as advisories & alerts. Also a section on safety specifically area’s within the country to avoid.
