The 23rd Annual Travois Indian Country Affordable Housing & Economic Development Conference is a one-of-a-kind educational conference designed for tribal leaders and employees of tribally designated housing entities, tribes, Native nonprofits, Alaska Native groups and Native Hawaiian organizations. We bring together our industry leaders with experienced tribal developers and young professionals to learn and share innovative practices on developing homes and businesses in Native communities. We provide detailed instruction on securing funding for affordable housing developments, the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, economic development, the New Markets Tax Credit program, asset management and compliance, architectural design and construction monitoring. These two federal tax credit programs have directly led to more than $1.7 billion of new and rehabilitated homes, businesses and services in Native communities.
