While the app has required some development over time, it remains an easy-to-use and well-structured application. Most of the negative reviews of this app were given during this development process. I use TCBK’s app to check my balance, process mobile checks, schedule transfers, do instant transfers, log in with Touch-ID and use the insta-balance feature on the front screen (enabled in-app). My user-experience over several months has been excellent and I’m happy to see continued customer care and in-app improvements.
Decent app until you try Touch ID
For the last several months the app wouldn’t remember I toggled Touch ID. So I’d have to manually login. But I couldn’t let the app switch over to my password manager. It’s the only app on my phone that crashes LastPass when it tries to switch to it. With the latest update it’s now trying to Touch ID but each time the app just crashes after trying to authenticate. It is unusable.
When I can get in, I can’t mobile deposit checks. I have a very short name (first + last is seven letters). My signature isn’t long enough to be detected as valid. So it’s still a trip to the bank for each deposit. :/
Not good for a joint account
My wife and I recently joined our banking and have a checking account here. When you make payments from the app they move into a recent payment screen and do not reflect in your balance. Furthermore it will only show in the app of the person that made payment. For example: my wife made several very large payments from our account but it does not reflect in our balance and there is no way for me to see what is pending. This is the most inconvenient mobile banking app I have used. Had I known this I would have used a different bank and may change for the majority of our banking.
