Good!

I have been looking for an app like this for a while, and this one is nearly perfect. Some suggestions: add a haptic vibration when selecting notes or flat/sharp. Add a backspace button for when you select a note by accident. Highlight the notes you have selected in a different color.

Developer Response ,

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. They will be a great improvement to the current UX. They‘ll be added with the next update in the next few days!

B sharp and E Sharp

The app doesn’t recognize d sharp and e flat as the same note. It also suggests that there are the notes bsharp and e sharp. The coding and format are good but it marks many answers wrong incorrectly.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your feedback.
I think these are just enharmonics and in the context of a particular scale notes like E# or B# actually do exist.
For example, the scale of G# is: G♯, A♯, B♯, C♯, D♯, E♯, F𝄪. Therefore the chord C# in that key contains the notes C#, E# and G#.
Sure, this is just a music theoretical abstraction and in the end, on our instruments, an E# is just F.
It‘s all about context and in the context of a particular chord D# is not the same as Eb. For example, the chord G# is made of G#, B# and D#. You can’t replace the D# with an Eb in that chord, because theoretically it‘s not in the scale. Although it‘s the same note on the instrument with the same physical frequency.
