I absolutely love the meals provided by trifecta! I am not a vegetarian in my every day life, but decided to try the vegetarian meal option with Trifecta. I have been so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food has been. I look forward to lunch and dinner. I of course would highly recommend cooking the meal according to the recommended cooking method. I cook much of my Trifecta meals in a skillet on the stove top and I have that fives me the best results. In regards to the food tracking app, I wish that there were more consistent calories for the same meals. I have found that it varies despite the fact that it’s the same exact meal. I also wish that similar to other meal tracking apps that there were more diverse options in regards to other foods outside of Trifecta. I definitely need to add in basic foods that I normally do not need to add in and other apps where they are already a part of the app. I think this is just a matter of more people using the app and including those foods in the options. All in all I am very happy so far to be using Trifecta. I should have also noted that I am about two weeks in. I will update after 90 days.
Initial impressions of the update from the normal “Pocket WOD” to Trifecta, can seem overwhelming especially when the primary use of Pocket WOD was the timers for me.That being said, my initial update/setup wasn’t that user friendly as I was getting ready to use the app, and was flooded by needing to update my profile information, this caught me off guard and unexpected since I was ready to start working out. After my main profile update, things seem to go smoothly with the timers. Since then I have started using the Meal tracker and got rid of subscription with MyFitnessPal. Although I still have some concerns with the user interface and being able to add multiple items at one time. I would like to see another diet (Macro) setup for those on ketogenics and deatiled carbohydrates such as dietary fiber, soluble fiber and total carb differentials. The app does seem to freeze/close at times, but I think that will eventually get ironed out.Overall for a Free to use product, this is amazing, please keep going and making this the go to app for all those functional fitness athletes out there!
I have been a subscriber to Trifecta’s meal prep delivery plan for about a month now and it’s pretty awesome. (Check it out). And recently discovered their app which has helped me keep me on track. Specifically because they have a 90 TrifectaMe challenge going on right now, and the app is formatted for tracking contestants as well. We log our food, water, weight, daily progress photos and work outs which is pretty convenient. I personally work out on my own but the app has work outs you can choose from. I also wasn’t a fan of the interface of tracking calories at first because it felt a little slow (I had been using Mfitnesspal for years) but it’s gotten A LOT better and faster which I appreciate. It also requires a paid app subscription in order to track macros which I have chosen not to subscribe for since I still have a subscription with MFP. I will say that the calories for macros equal out to what MFP says so that’s a plus. Also, you can manage your Trifecta orders through the app which makes it very convenient! The customer service has been spot on as well.
I love to cook, but I broke my foot and was left unable to do much and was gaining weight fast. I tried trifecta and although it was not my home cooked meals, it really made me feel better to have healthy food choices in a time where I was ordering delivery for most meals. Trifecta helped me stop gaining and start loosing. 10 lbs so far. Although I’ve started walking and cooking again, I keep Trifecta meals in my freezer for busy days - Keto plan. The app is wonderful, if you are committed to paying attention and logging everything, you can really see results in just awareness and accountability for every food choice or snack you make. You don’t have to eat Trifecta food to use the app, it’s for anyone. I upgraded mine and for me, it’s worth it because I’m finding value in the extra features and breakdown of macros. My only constructive feedback for Trifecta is about their food database. More often than not, when I eat a trifecta meal, the food isn’t in the database and I need to enter all the nutritional info. I would expect this for non trifecta meals, but not having your own food appear in your own app from a user experience perspective is a big miss and seems like it would be easy to change and improve customer experience in this category. Didn’t stop me from enjoying all the features and entering anyway. Overall nice job!
This is by far one of the best apps to achieve my goals. It holds me accountable and I’m reminded when I get those challenge notifications every morning since I’m doing the 90-Day Challenge. There is a nutrition food log so I can track my macros, there’s a workout plan daily that have both an “at gym” and home workout version all from a certified strength and conditioning coach. I can use this app to rely on holding myself accountable and can even update my Trifecta orders to make my life easier if I’m feeling a different meal plan. I have everything I need in this app and no other app has given me this full package. So really I have no excuses to not achieve my goals, and that’s why I love this app. What’s cool is I can add any publication or news channel to my feed to keep me motivated and educated. It’s one of my most used apps now and I can’t say enough how much it has helped me stay on top of my goals. Thanks y’all!
I’ve been using this app to log my workouts for more than a year. I have no complaints with most of the functionality, but there are several things I wish the developer would fix.1) When logging a workout, after painstakingly typing in the wod, it’s way too easy to hit the Back button instead of the Save button. All that typing you did while wod-drunk? Sorry, it’s gone. Argh. Would a confirmation popup be too much to ask for before throwing away my typing?2) It’d be nice to be able to repeat a WOD from your log. As it stands, you have to copy the text from your log and paste it to a new log entry3) The app forces you to give a name to your workout before saving. Annoying.4) When entering a weight or a load, the app uses those rotating dial UI controls. It’d be easier and faster to just type a number using the keyboard5) There’s a separate log for WODs and Lifts, which is fine. The problem with the Lift log is that it’s poorly integrated with the Lift Library. So say you’re logging power cleans for the first time. You go to the Lift Library, select Power Clean and select “Log It”. However, this takes you to the Wod Log, not the Lift Log. To log a lift, you have to type in a new lift category. It would be so much easier to select one from the library.Aside from this, the app is pretty nice. No complaints on the timers, and being able to log benchmark wods is actually pretty easy and convenient.
