Half Day LA and Hollywood Tour: travelers new to LA

As a couple new to LA, with only one full day to experience the city, we chose this highly rated tour to show us the highlights. It did! Doug, our guide, has lived in LA most of his life, and was a fountain of knowledge about it and it’s many faces. He was exceptionally friendly and good at keeping in touch through complicated pick up arrangements, very flexible in adjusting time frames to allow for our location being a distance from his usual pick up points. Doug’s tour showed us all the neighborhoods and activity areas of LA with interesting commentary about each. He kept us entertained throughout the long drives inevitable in LA. We received a good overview of the city. We will know where we want to spend time the next time we are here! We especially appreciated Doug’s effort to get us close to our airport hotel when the tour ended. We do agree with an other reviewer that the tour is about an hour too long. However, it takes so long to get around in LA, that may be a hazard of the city. Come prepared with some protein bars in case your energy runs low. One important point: I found it difficult to find a bathroom at the break stop. That is the only part of the trip that is poorly planned. I eventually found one in a church across the square from where we stopped to break. Despite Doug’s direction to “go in any restaurant”, the few restaurants present had signs saying “guests only”. Aside from that, I do recommend this tour.

On Sunday afternoon, 28 June while celebrating not only our 40th honeymoon but also our 40th year of being Bonvoy members we checked in and process Sophia gave us such a beautiful welcome and we reunited in our friendship with Bosh the on Duty general manager and we were afforded the Joy to stay at the presidential suite for the next two nights.On Monday, five of our 18 year long serving prayer team members are PIT Crew arrived for the day Kathy in the M. club served us absolutely beautifully with her whole heart. Everyone of our team were blessed.During the morning, another friend on the team came out Ashlee who just happened to be there before she takes her promotion to run a Marriotte facility in vintage Park. We gave her a hug and asked our usual question. How could we pray for you? She had chest the previous two days lost her young brother and was in need of comfort and encouragement as we prayed. God comforted her and encouraged her.William and Jonah in the valet parking were indeed most gracious in every detail of their service to us other staff members, including Javier, who restored some lights in our suite and the Cleaning team members were such a blessing to us. We want to congratulate the staff of the Marriotte waterway and truly a heavenly experience on earth in The Woodlands we give each one of you a huge hug and if anyone needs prayer, don’t hesitate to be in touch
