TripChunker plans your road trip backwards from your event date. Tell it when and where you need to be, and it splits the journey into comfortable daily chunks — so you arrive on time, rested, and ready.
HOW IT WORKS
Set your event. Enter the destination, the date you need to arrive, and where you're leaving from.
Choose your pace. Time-pressure mode gets you there fast. Relaxed mode spreads driving over more days so you can enjoy the journey.
Get your plan. TripChunker calculates the route, distributes driving across days, finds overnight stops, checks the weather, and estimates costs.
Fine-tune and go. Shift drive time between days, add via stops, compare alternative routes, then export to your calendar or open today's route in Apple Maps.
KEY FEATURES
Event-deadline planning: your arrival date is sacred. TripChunker builds everything around it — departure date, daily chunks, overnight stops — so you never cut it close.
Automatic chunking: your route is split into daily driving segments based on your preferred pace and vehicle type.
Rest days and meal breaks: mark any day as a rest day and the plan accounts for it. Set how long your stops and meal breaks last.
Adjust any day on the fly: nudge how far you drive on any day and the rest adjust to match. Lock a day so it stays put.
Move overnight stops: shift any overnight a day earlier or later with the arrow buttons next to the bed icon.
Weather on every day: temperature, rain probability, and severe weather alerts for each travel day (up to 10 days ahead).
Car and camper profiles: custom profiles with speed correction for motorhomes and caravans. Set fuel efficiency, fuel price, and tank capacity per vehicle.
Overnight stops in a tap: find hotels on Booking.com or camp spots on Park4Night and CamperContact with one tap.
Cost estimates: fuel costs plus European highway vignette prices for every country you cross.
Multi-event trips (Pro): plan up to 6 stops in one continuous route: Home → Event 1 → Event 2 → … → Home.
Compare versions: build a fast route and a scenic route, then compare side by side on days, distance, and cost.
Alternative routes per leg: avoid tolls, skip highways, or take the scenic road independently on each leg.
Navigate from your dashboard: one tap opens today's full route — including via stops — in Apple Maps or Google Maps.
Daylight awareness: sunrise and sunset for each stop. Option to avoid driving in darkness — especially useful for campers on unfamiliar roads.
Calendar and PDF export: add every travel day to your calendar, or export a full PDF itinerary with times, darkness warnings, and a cost summary.
Share your trip: send your route via Messages, WhatsApp, email, or any app. Recipients with TripChunker import the route directly.
iCloud sync: your trips sync automatically between iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
